At the base of the tower are the toilets, which previously housed a men's vestry. The stained glass window (shown below) shows the patron saint of the Church - St. John the Baptist. This area was the entrance to the Church before the major reconstruction of 1867.

This stained glass window commemorates the 50th jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1887. It also has a plaque commemorating the 60th jubilee in 1897. More on the 60th jubilee celebrations can be read in excerpts from the parish magazine of 1897 by clicking here.

The font was provided by the parishioners at the time of the major Church rebuilding around 1867 with the face you can see showing Moses in the bulrushes. Nearly, all baptisms actually take place in front of the congregation instead of at the font.

Below this window a plaque states; "The window was erected to the glory of God and in the memory of Alfred Freer Rawson Born 1842 Died 1903". It reminds us that God is our 'alpha' (beginning) and 'omega' (end).

The kitchen area was installed in 2003 as part of the re-odering of the Church. It is used after services to provided coffee and biscuits, and so give everyone a chance to chat and get to know each other.

This window is located at the base of the tower (See above). it depicts the patron saint of the Church, St. John the Baptist.
